NYC’s human roadkill finally gets its wake

The comprehensive cycling and pedestrian blog Streetsblog NYC has a weekly section called The Weekly Carnage that monitors the various zany misadventures of the automobile in that city.

The anthropologists who compile the list pay special attention to details like the crazy way a vehicle flipped over and then rolled onto a toddler and crushed his little legs, exploded and burned the driver and his dry-cleaned suit, squished the elderly woman who was walking her tiny showdog, etc.

It also provides links to more detailed reports of these individual tragedies in local news sources.

Finally –  a media voice that isn’t afraid to tell the stories of all those dead innocents who are killed by machines. But do drivers get their car-ad brainwashing reversed by reading this blog, or are they impenetrable behind their high-fat media diet of NASCAR, football, and action flicks?
